Inspired by Kampen

In 2012, Lu and Hennie Schaper moved to Kampen in the province Overijssel, Netherlands and opened Galerie LuS. The city of Kampen was the most important Dutch city in the 14th century, a prominent member of the North-West European Hanseatic League, and it has one of the best preserved medieval centres of the Netherlands. Of course, the old buildings, the local customs and the sailing ships on the IJssel have inspired Lu over the years. A selection below.
