Lu Schaper was born in Shanghai, China. She had her formal education at
the Fine Art universities of Shanghai and Beijing. Her professional career has taken her to Singapore, France, and now the Netherlands, where she is running her own art
gallery in Kampen (Galerie LuS).
The art of Lu Schaper is a unique blend of East and West, in terms of inspiration, style and techniques used. Her works encompass oil paintings, Chinese ink drawings, mixed media creations, digital art, fashion design,
and photography. The style is ever evolving, with
clear impressionist and later expressionist phases. Her works have been
exhibited at numerous national and international exhibitions. In
addition, it has been used for a high-end fashion line of silk and
pashmina scarves in Shanghai.
