This is one my all-time favourites. I shot it in our new home town of Kampen, ending a period with lack of inspiration. It may not have reached Explore, but it received very high praise in the composition blog The image composer. It is actually not what many people think: there is no shadow play at work here at all. The shape I captured and cropped like this is the decoration of the Kampen harbor...
